"CLEARY Mary Elizabeth. Personal Estate £425 18s. 4d.
26 September. Administration (with the Will) of the Personal Estate of Mary Elizabeth Cleary (Wife of the Reverend Augustus Castle Cleary, Clerk) late of Sandown in the Isle of Wight in the County of Southampton who died 16 May 1881 at Sandown was granted at the Principal Registry under certain Specialties to the Reverend Augustus Castle Cleary of Sandown the sole Executor."

2 Charles Wittit Poynter was the sixth child. He joined the Navy as a 1st class volunteer on 28 Aug 1811, aged 14. He served as mate and 2nd in command on the brig William on its voyage of discovery in the South Shetland Islands. He went on half pay and applied for leave of absence in 1825, living in Honfleur in France until 1830. He joined the Coast Guard in 1831, retiring in 1860 as a commander with seniority. He was living at Kent Terrace, Kent House Road, Lower Sydenham in Kent at the time of his death.
