Death reg'n #9064: occupation housemaid, age 67 yrs, 2 mos.; parents William Banting born Queen's county and Margaret Thompson born Ireland; cause of death "mental trouble", "exhaustion".

Believed to be the Charles Meredith, merchant, who died in Toronto at age 55 in June 1899, although that registration indicates born in England (but note that his wife was born in England, so the informant, Dr. E.J. Barrick, may have got this confused): reg'n #2501: died at 21 Bleeker, Toronto of an aortic aneurism, duration 7 years [?]; the informant was a physician.

Thomas' father was Richard Odlum b. 1703 in Geashill King's County and died 1767. His wife was Ellinor Allcock, born in Fontsdown, Kildare. She died in 1770 in Ballychristal, Kildare.
Richard's father was Henry Odlum, born 1661 at Geashill (Offaly) and died 1738 in Geashill. His wife was Grace unknown.
Richard's father was Thomas Odlum. We do know that Thomas was disbanded as "Oldum" from Ormonde's troop in 1662. Family legend has him from Lancashire, yet to be proven. The Odlum/Oldum name may also have been Oldham, originally.
