Note: Thomas Vanston; Must have married after birth of Thomas's children by his first wife, some of whom were born in Canada. Assume the marriage took place in Canada, but not impossible that Thomas may have returned to Ireland and married Alice there.

Bill had more siblings and his nephew lives in the original home place in the townland of Cullenagh, Ballyroan, Co. Laois.

Note: "Armagh Clergy" says born in Bray, County Wicklow. 1910 Directory for Little Bray, County Wicklow lists on OLD CONNAUGHT ( Dublin Road): Mrs Ralph Merdith Craigconna; Lewis B Meredith -F.S.I Craigconna.
In 1911 Lewis was a private secretary in the Castletown, Kildare, household of Arnold S. Wills, a 33-year-old "Captain-Army-Retired." His age was given as 35 and his place of birth County Dublin. There were 19 servants living in the household!
Lewis was said to have had a business in the Dublin/Wicklow area as a landscape gardener prior to his marriage. He wrote a “famous” book, "Rock gardens: how to make and maintain them", published in 1910, with a second edition in 1914 and a third in 1924.
His death was reported in The Irish times, 6 March 1953. He died 3 March 1953 and is described there as of St Mark’s Lodge, Farnborough, Hampshire.
