2. January 8, 1826 - William and Henry, both of Clonboye, had children baptised in Roskelton parish, Queen's county, Ireland.

- Note: Will of Joseph Orlando Orr's mother in law, Elizabeth Carter, says she is the widow of John Carter, (these are the parents of William Carter married Maria Meredith) and that her daughter is married to Joseph Orlando Orr, surgeon of Bond Head which clears up the problem of who this Elizabeth Carter was, many have her as the daughter of William and Maria when in fact she is his sister. William Andrew Orr of Vaughan, William Carter and John Carter are executors of this will. (from BA, Feb 2015)
It has been suggested that the mother of these Carters was Elizabeth Bell--no documentation however. Burial of Elizabeth Carter of West Gwillimbury, died 1848, age 76.

Possibly the Wm who died 2nd qtr, 1882, age 78, Mountmellick registration district (Film #101591, Vol. 3, p. 391) or would he have died in Dublin?
All in all, uncertain as to who this father of Elizabeth was? In 1855 he was a resident of St Mary's parish, Dublin. [The 1837 Topographical Dictionary of Ireland indicates that St Mary's separated from St Michan's in 1697--assume therefore that it is located on north side of the Liffey, a tad west of the city centre]. The 1850 Dublin census shows 8 listings for Wm Clarke, one of whom lived not too far from St Mary's Abbey. He was a mattress maker, living on Moore Street--doesn't seem likely?
