She was the valedictorian and graduate of Tunas High School, and had lived in Front Royal for 32 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Judy Ellen Miller.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph Anthony Sackett; two daughters: Virginia Sackett Dixon, Fairfax Station, Va., and Sharon Lee Haughey, Linden, Va.; three sons: Michael Joseph Sackett, Winchester, Va., Charles Anthony Sackett and Donald Edward Sackett, Front Royal, Va.; four sisters: Ruby Miller and Glessie Birdwell, Buffalo, and Maxine Mayer and Mary Stidham, California; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.”.
