He was a Millwright at the time of his marriage. His obituary appeared in The Windsor Star on Feb 23 1967 as follows:
“KEEGAN-Ernest Victor, 75, of 86 Cameron Ave.. Essex, died today in Metropolitan
Hospital. Mr. Keegan was born in Dublin, Ireland and lived in Windsor before
moving to Essex 25 years ago. He was employed by the Ontario Department of
Highways. He was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. a member of Loyal
Orange Lode No. 1218, Cottam, a veteran of the First and Second Worid Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Emma (nee Breaton): two sons. Charles of Essex and Cpl.
Victor with the Royal Canadian Regiment in Germany: two brothers, Charles and
Walter, both of Ireland: three sisters. Mrs. William Hodge of England, Mrs.
Robert Levis and Mrs. James Wolfe, both of Ireland and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Stewart L. Kennedy Funeral
Home, 128 Talbot St. N., Essex. Burial will be in Cottam Cemetery.”.
