Parents
Biography
Frances BARRER was born about 1811 in Co. Cork, Ireland

Thomas SMITH, son of
John SMITH and
Frances BISHOP, in 1827 in Co. Limerick, Ireland
G.
1,2 Frances BARRER died on 25 October 1877, at age ~66, in Joel Joel, Stawell Shire, County Kara Kara, Victoria, Australia
G.
1 She was buried on 27 October 1877 in Landsborough Cemetery, Victoria, Australia
G.
3,4 Frances Barrer emigrated from Ireland to Victoria, Australia in 1857. Although we have no record of her baptism, we can place her as the brother of John Barrer by his death certificate, which records John Smith as his nephew. Her death certificate records her marriage to Thomas Smith in Co. Limerick; her recorded place of birth as Co. Cork needs further research and explanation. Her Irish father-in-law (presumably from Co. Limerick) was John Smith - a person of that name was a witness at the marriage of her brother George Barrer to Eliza Mee in 1848.
