Note: John was listed as a Chemist living in Altona in 1904 and 1906. In 1908 and 1910 they were in Monkstown, County Cork. The 1911 census shows the family in Monkstown; John as a registered pharmacist, Church of England, born England. Others in the household were his wife and 5 children, plus his mother-in-law and a niece, Eleanor Drill Smyth, age 18, born Waterford City. According to the 1920 census (Boston, Suffolk county, Massachusetts) John and his son John emigrated to Massachusetts in 1912, but the others came in 1913. That census says he was born in England and his occupation was druggist. His parents were both born in Ireland. However, the 1930 census gives the immigration years were 1913 and 1914.

Note: Irish birth registration index has 2 Cork district listings for John Warburton Meredith: one is 4th quarter 1902, the other 4th quarter 1903. Probably this individual, and either a first child died, or more likely, he was either registered twice or an error was corrected, and the wrong record not deleted? 1911 census has him born Cork city, age 8.
Immigrated to Boston, USA in 1912. In the 1920 Census John was a shipping clerk. In 1930 he was still living with his parents and was a commercial traveller for a "Coke Bus."
SSDI entry for John Merediths born abt 1902 reveals two possible men: (1) born 30 Jan 1902, died Aug 1970, last address Malden, Mass; and (2) born 14 Aug 1902, died Sep 1986, last address Acton, Mass.; possible wife is Constance Meredith, 1 Feb 1908 - Jan 1985, same zip code.
