Surgeon and Psychiatrist at New York Islip Hospital. Lieut.-Colonel in US Army Medical Corps in World War I. Lived later years at Terra Cotta, Ontario. Died in Toronto Hospital, cremated. (EHB)

• Note: Nursed in New York and Toronto. Unmarried. In 1900 Sarah M. Barnhardt, born Canada Feb 1865 was a nurse at "Woman Hospital" in Manhatten, NY. She arrived in the USA in 1899. I did not find her in the 1910 USA census.
  Death reg'n #34187: age 55 yrs, 8 mos, 3 dys; occupation nurse; cause of death was diabetic coma, had diabetes for 10 years at time death; died at Lot 17, 9th Concession, Oro tp; informant was her brother Hiram I. Barnhart of Oro Station.

  In 1851 Samuel and Mary Ann were living in Napanee, aged 63 and 52. The family was enumerated in Fredericksburg, but the ages of the children were not consistent with the birth years shown in the family records.
