Mary Ann TURNER was born about 1788. She and George HEATON were married on 12 April 1813 in Edgbaston, Warwick.2 She died on 9 January 1854, at age ~66.1
A nephew of George and Mary Ann Heaton, Walter Turner born ca. 1835 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, was recorded in their household in the 1841 and 1851 censuses. He is possibly Walter William Turner, son of Henry Turner and Sabra Reeves.

Thomas Clutton SALT

Biography

Thomas Clutton SALT was born on 26 April 1789 in Birmingham.1 He and Jane BLAIR were married on 26 April 1825 in St. Martin’s, Birmingham.2 He and Charlotte HEATON were married on 13 June 1831 in St. Philip’s Church, Birmingham.2 He died on 27 April 1859, at age 70, in Edgbaston.3 He was buried on 4 May 1859 in Edgbaston Old Church.4
Thomas Clutton Salt was the son of Joseph Salt and Anne Clutton. It was said in his obituary that on his father's side he was connected with Salt, the Abyssinian traveller, and his mother was lineally descended from Simon de Clutton of Cheshire, born about 1280. His family had settled in France at the beginning of the century but were detained there following the breakdown of the Treaty of Amiens. Around 1810 he managed to escape and make his way back to England.
Thomas Clutton Salt was a lamp manufacturer in Birmingham. As a Chartist he was one of the founder members of the Birmingham Political Union, a driving force behind the Great Reform Act of 1832.5

Nine of the 10 children of Elizabeth Woodall Turner nee Bragg were mentioned in the will of her father George Bragg dated 1848; her son Charles Edward Turner is assumed to have died by then.4

Mary Elizabeth TURNER was born about 1831. She and Rev. Thomas NORRIS were married on 30 June 1857 in Handsworth Parish Church.2 She died on 15 December 1927, at age ~96.3
Mary Elizabeth Turner was mentioned in the will of her uncle George Davey Bragg, dated 1894, as Mary Elizabeth Norris widow of Thomas Norris clerk in holy orders.4
