2 He was buried on 10 December 1784 in Old Meeting House, Birmingham.
3 The will of John Grew, Gentleman of Birmingham, Warwickshire was dated
dated 21 June 1784, with a codicil dated 7 November of that year. It was proved on 10 March 1785 at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. The will mentions the following people:

1,2 Thomas Boyes was a chaplain (with the rank of Captain) to the 26th Regiment of Foot. The regiment served in Canada from 1787 to 1800. His will dated 16 June 1815 (with codicils of 17 June 1818 and 13 July 1819 ) was registered in Edinburgh on 31 December 1819 and proved on 21 June 1820. It mentions:

It refers to a settlement of 22 Jan 1782 of properties to be divided amongst 6 children, but since then there has been the death of his wife and 3 of his children. It mentions:

Thomas Boyes chaplain in the 26th Regiment of Foot - son
