Note: IGI lists two wives, both Mary, for John--uncertain if there were actually two different marriages or if one of the surnames is incorrect? There was also a John Clarke married to Mary Poole--perhaps also the same man (see separate listing in this database)? The latter had 3 children said to be born Rosenallis parish, two of whom died in Oregon, USA. Were any of these the same man, or were there three John Clarkes about the same age all in Rosenallis? If so, perhaps they were cousins?
