• Note: In 1901 Manus, age 10, was a student at Oxmantown School Lodge, Arran Quay, Dublin.
  Manus is listed in the 1911 census for Strathcona district, Alberta Canada, aged 20. He indicated he was a bank clerk and had immigrated to Canada in 1911. He is also recorded in the 1911 census of Ireland in county Kerry, age 20, occupation Bank Clerk. He served with Canadian Armed Forces in World War I, enlisting in Vancouver, BC in October 1915; his occupation was Surveyer. His next of kin was his brother R. C. Meredith of Dicksgrove, Kerry, Ireland. At the time he enlisted he was 5' 11", had fair hair and complexion and blue eyes.
  In 1921 Manus and his wife Harriet Louise were living at 4409 West 11th Avenue in Point Grey (Vancouver), BC. His occupation was Salesman.
  BC Death Reg'n #1975-09-004293 gives age as 84. Address was 1353 Maple St, Vancouver; informant his daughter Kathleen L. Meredith of Saltspring Island. Obituary in March 7 Vancouver Province for M.B. (Merry) Meredith notes he was survived by his wife Betty, sons Dick, Chuck, Bob and Tom, daughters Merry and Kay, and brother Wilfred in Ireland.
