3 George Peter Hebbert was a First Lieutenant in the Honourable Company’s Bengal Engineers. He was a student at the East India College, Addiscombe and gained his commission in Dec 1841. He fought in several battles in India and gained two medals and two clasps as decorations for his services. He was appointed Executive Engineer of Upper Assam in April 1847 shortly before his death. He was buried in Upper Assam, his headstone being "erected by his poor bereaved and disconsolate widow, H.H."

2 The occupation of Richard Jukes is unknown, but he was wealthy enough to own property in Carr’ s Lane Birmingham and in Edgbaston. It appears that he was a Dissenter, and he is most likely to be the Richard Jukes who is recorded as having led the secession from the Old Meeting House in 1747, to form the New Meeting House at Carr’s Lane in Birmingham. His will, which names his wife Phebe, was dated 18 May 1771 and was proved in Lichfield Consistory Court on 17 November 1775.
