Note: Thought to be a son of William Strong and Mary Anne Alexander (her first husband was Richard Meredith). If so would be the holder of Block #5 , Cappagh from 1906 until 1921 (at which time passed to Patrick Dunne). Aged 38 in 1901; widower 50 in 1911 on Cappagh census. Death registration for William died 1931, aged 66 probably this man. There was a birth registration in Mountmellick for a William Strong, who I would expect to be a son of William and Mary Anne, and it is known that at least some of this family moved to Australia.
Note: Margaret Anne Carter; 1911 census indicates William had been married 14 years and had seven children. Marriage registered 1st qtr 1896, Mountmellick.
