Funeral Home, Strathroy, where funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4th, at 2 p.m. Interment in Cook’s Cemetery.

- Note: Marriage registration records name as Mary Helen Quinn. Marriage announcement in Eganville Leader referred to Nellie Quin and indicated she was the eldest daughter of Mrs. G. W. Briggs of Eganville. Death certicate indicates that Helen Mary Reynolds, died in Vancouver in 1971, was born in Iowa, although it says her parents were born in Ontario. The 1911 census indicates she came to Canada in 1887. Evidently her parents moved from Ontario where they were born, to Iowa when Helen was born and then back to Ontario. It appears that Helen's father had died and her mother remarried by 1909 because the marriage notice names her mother as Mrs. G.W. Briggs.
- Note: Bernard (Barney) Reynolds; Marriage registration has names recorded as Bernard Renolds (age 28, resident of Winnipeg) and Mary Helen Quinn (27, resident of Eganville). Witnesses were James Reynolds of Madawaska and Loretta Briggs of Eganville (groom's brother and bride's sister). Rev. P.S. Dowdall (spelling uncertain), Banns.

- Note: John and Margaret were living with John's parents in 1851, and with his mother only in 1861 (Bromley Twp., First Concession, Lot 7W, 100 acres). His mother, Mary Shields, was on Lot 8. In 1871 John farmed Lots 7 and 8, 250 acres. Margaret's brother Michael Reynolds farmed Lots 8 and 9.
Land records indicate that John received his patent on Lots 7W and 8W April 1860. He and his wife sold both in August, 1871. In 1883 John's land was willed to his wife Margaret Reynolds and his son Daniel. The cemetery record indicates that John was 57 at the time of his death.

- Note: Daniel Reilly had a 200 acre farm on the Third Concession, Lot 14, Bromley Twp. He purchased the west half in 1856 and apparently inherited the east half from his father. According to the 1871 Census, his mother, sister Rose (Roseanna) and brother Edward were all living there with Daniel and his family. On 23 February [year?] Daniel's will passed the property on to Bernard Reilley and Winifred Reilley. The property was to pass to Daniel upon Winifred's death.
The last name had a variety of spellings in the censuses: Riley 1851, Reily 1861, Reilly 1871, Riely 1881, O'Reilly 1891 and Reilly 1901.
Ontario death reg'n #15387: cause of death Bright's disease; informant was Rev. F. Devine.
