- Note: In 1901 Census Marmaduke identified his national origin as English (oh dear)!!! Baptism sponsors were his parents and George Hagerty [sic]. His father was then farming in Huntingdon.
In 1901 Marmaduke farmed Lot 5, 11th Concession in Huntingdon Twp. Marmaduke was the last Haggerty to live on his father's homestead. According to family tradition, after his home burned killing his wife in 1917, he sold the farm to Tom Reid and moved to Wooler, Ontario (located in Murray tp). However, in 1911 he and his wife and children were enumerated in Murray tp, Northumberland county.
Ontario death reg'n #25493: cause of death myocarditis; resided Con 6, Lot 10 Murray tp.
