  "John Meredith Private, Soldier in the First Battalion of His Majesty's Eighty first Regiment of Foot, aged 25 years, died August the fifth and was buried August the eighth, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen. By me, Salter Jehosaphat Mountain, Officiating Minister at Quebec."
  The 81st (Loyal Lincoln Volunteers) Regiment of Foot arrived in Canada in 1814 and embarked for Jamaica in 1821 (http://www.lightinfantry.org.uk/regiments/canada/can_infantry2.htm).
