Margaret Maund is possibly the daughter of Humphry and Catherine Maund who was christened in Brimfield, Herefordshire, on 26 Sep 1659.
Margaret Cook was the sole executrix of her husband’s will of 1719, and was bequeathed all his lands, goods, cattle, corn etc, provided she remains a widow.
Her will was dated 16 May 1739 and probate granted on 3 July 1739 at Ludlow. It made the following bequests and conditions:
- Ann Meredith, daughter, widow, house in Presteign now in possession of Philip Evans
- Peter Owens, grandson, the above house in succession
- Margaret Owens, granddaughter, £20 and a chest with linen
- John Meredith, grandson, £10 to be paid when aged 21
- Ann Meredith, granddaughter, £10 to be paid when aged 21
- Thomas Dikes and Mary his wife, 5 shillings each
- Jane and Mary Dikes, daughters of the above, £10 each
- Mary Dikes above, the youngest daughter, also a bed, bedstead, linen and pewter dish
- Josiah Meredith, grandson, £4 towards building a Malt Kiln on the estate in Lingen of Josiah Meredith his deceased father
- Ann Meredith, daughter, widow, goods and chattels, bills, bonds and debts or sums owing

In the 1841 Wales census Elizabeth aged 55 was living at Dyke House, Rhoss, Knighton with son Charles aged 25. In the 1861 census Elizabeth aged 76, widow and farmer of 30 acres, was living at Dyke House with son Charles aged 42, unmarried and a farmer's son.

2 He may have been an illegitimate son of Elizabeth Roberts, born before her marriage to Joseph Meredith (at which time she was a spinster). He is referred to as Charles Joseph Meredith "otherwise Charles Joseph Roberts" in a legal document.
Charles and Lydia Meredith are in the 1871 census in Dyke House, Rhoss, aged 57 and 47 respectively. In 1881 they were in High Street, Knighton, aged 69 and 57. He was a farmer of 12 acres. In 1891 they were in Broad or High Street, Knighton, aged 79 and 66.
Probate was granted to John Roberts farmer and Edward Roberts accountant on 10 Jun 1895.
