  • Note: Enlisted in the army under name of Mirns Bateman: personnel record names his aunt, Mrs. John W. Bateman (Mary Ellen Getty) of Bathurst, as his next of kin. He was 5 feet, 7 1/2 inches tall, of fair complexion with blue eyes and brown hair. Mirns and his wife had no children. At the time of his marriage he was a resident of East Bathurst. When he died his name was recorded as Nicholas Murns Bateman.
  • Note: Ida Black; Witnesses were Percy Adams and Mrs. Percy Adams, year may be 1925? Susan Eddy recorded as 1828, but PANB index says 1925.

Death register noted: "CHARLES BATEMAN who has been a patient sufferer for many years, died at his residence on Sutherland Point Road at 8 o'clock on the evening of March eighteenth, aged 44 years".
  • Note: Jemima Lucy Good; One source gave me a marriage date of 19 Aug 1887--date I have entered is from the parish records of the church--one other source transcribed from the register as 21 October. Witnesses: Henry McLauchlin and J. Bateman. Jemima was a resident of Salmon Beach; Charles of Big River.
