Sir Thomas VESEY, 1st Bart, was born between 1672 and 1673.1 He and Mary MUSCHAMP were married on 27 July 1698.1 He died on 6 August 1730.1 He was buried in St. Anne's Church, Dublin, Ireland.
Sir Thomas Vesey was the son of John Vesey, (successively dean of Cork, bishop of Limerick, and archbishop of Tuam), and his wife, Rebecca Wilson. He was a Church of Ireland bishop of Ossory. He was created Baronet of Abbey Leix in Queen’s Co., where he owned an estate, on 28 Sep 1698.1,2

Biography

Sir John MEREDITH, 1st Bart, was born on 8 December 1742.1,2 He and Helen ENGLISH were married in July 1769 in Mallow, Co. Cork, Ireland.3,4,5 He died on 27 October 1799, at age 56.6 He was buried in South Park Street Burial Ground, Calcutta, India.7
John Meredith was high sheriff of Co. Meath. He was knighted in May 1783 and was created Baronet of Carlanstown on 26 Jul 1795. He lived at Carlanstown and in 1794 he was also recorded as living at Gardiner's Place. He travelled to Bengal on the ship Criterion, leaving Gravesend on 26 May 1799 and arriving in Calcutta on 12 October, but died there just over two weeks later.8,3,9,10 Sir John MEREDITH, 1st Bart, was baptised on 29 December 1742 in St Mary's, Dublin, Ireland.2

The will of Jane Meredith, Spinster, proved in 1755, says that her father left her £3,000. It mentions her brother-in-law, Rev. Henry Leslie, her uncle, Henry Meredith, City of Dublin ; her mother, Letitia ; her two sisters, Catherine Leslie, Judith-Letitia Meredyth ; her uncle, George Vesey; her aunt, Ann Crow ; Dr. Fielding Ould, etc.3
