Anne married Thomas (of The Oak) MEREDITH. She died on 21 October 1804 in Queen’s Co., IrelandG. She was buried on 25 October 1804 in Maryborough, Queen's CountyG.
She is thought to be the Mrs. Anne Meredith whose burial was recorded in the Maryborough register. A transcription of Anne’s gravestone in the Old St Peter’s churchyard, Portlaoise, gives her date of death, and also her age as being 54, but it is not clear how reliable that is. (Source: 1907 Irish Memorials Association https://goo.gl/grO3so). It is possible that she was the daughter of Thomas Pattison whose name was listed next to Anne’s in the transcription.

Biography

William MEREDITH was born about 1800. He married Esther. He died in 1887, at age ~87. He was buried on 14 June 1887.
William Meredith was a farmer at Rossnagad, Queen’s County. He had 11 children. William's first son was named Thomas suggesting that his father was also a Thomas. It is believed that he was a son of Thomas of The Oak, and DNA evidence gives some weight to this, but there is no documentary proof.

Descendants of his son Richard W. Meredith by his wife Ellen Lane have a photo said to be of Richard's father William Meredith of Cappagh. They also have family records indicating that Richard was from "The Oaks," supporting the theory that William was a son of Thomas of The Oak.

He was registered as a voter in Maryborough East on 25 June 1839. According to the Griffith’s Valuation he was farming 131 acres at Rossnagad in 1850.
