Biography

Dobson YOUNG was born about 1777.1 He and Elizabeth were married. He died on 23 August 1850, at age ~73.1 He was buried on 24 August 1850 in Fort William, Bengal.1
Dobson Young served in Bengal in the 17th Foot from 1807, 44th Foot from 1824 and the 26th Foot in 1834.

He was possibly the son of John Young who was baptised in Poneland, Northumberland, England on 8 Oct 1775. There is no documentary evidence for this conjecture.2
