Joshua SCHOLEFIELD was born on 23 May 1775 in Sheffield, Yorkshire.2 He and Mary COTTERILL were married on 7 July 1804 in Birmingham, St. Philip’s.1 He and Maria COTTERILL were married in 1824.3 He and Mary Anne SWAINE were married on 17 November 1835 in Bloomsbury, St George’s, London.4 He died on 4 July 1844, at age 69, in Edgbaston, Warwickshire.
Joshua Scholefield was a politician, businessman and Member of Parliament. He was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, but by 1800 he was well established in Birmingham. He prospered as an iron manufacturer, merchant, and banker, and became the director of two large banks—the National Provincial Bank of England and the London Joint Stock Bank—and of the Metropolitan Assurance Company. After the Reform Act of 1832 was passed he joined Thomas Attwood as one of the preordained MPs for the new borough of Birmingham. He was returned at every election until his death.1

William SCHOLEFIELD was born on 22 August 1809 in Birmingham, Old Square.2 He and Jane Matilda MILLER were married in 1829.3 He died on 9 July 1867, at age 57, in Glasshouse Street, Regent Street, London.
William Scholefield was a politician. He stood for the seat in parliament that was vacated by his father's death in 1844, but was unsuccessful. He was returned with George Frederick Muntz as members for Birmingham in 1847, and he remained an MP until his death.1

Clement Cotterill SCHOLEFIELD was born on 22 June 1839 in Edgbaston, Warwick. He died on 10 September 1904, at age 65, in Frith Hall, Godalming, Surrey. He was buried in September 1904 in Eashing Cemetery, Godalming.
Clement Cotterill was the seventh son of William and Jane Matilda Scholefield. He was vicar of Holy Trinity, Knightsbridge and as a self-taught musician he composed several hymns that were published, including “The Day Thou Gavest”.

Edward Cotterill SCHOLEFIELD was born on 27 October 1825.1 He and Isabella Deborah YOUNG were married on 13 December 1849 in Ryde, Isle Of Wight.2 He died on 1 November 1859, at age 34, in Paris, France.3

Caroline Sophia SHAW was born about 1826. She and John SCHOLEFIELD were married on 23 October 1845.1 She died on 24 August 1848, at age ~22.2
Caroline Sophia was the eldest daughter of James Shaw of Park Grove, Edgbaston.

Emily SCHOLEFIELD was born in 1846 in Birmingham, Warwickshire. She and John FISHER were married on 24 September 1867 in Paddington, Trinity Church, London.2 She died on 26 March 1887, at age ~41, in 19 The Avenue, Elmers, Surbiton.3
Emily was the only child of John Scholefield.3
