Indicates Mary's father was a bootmaker, with no indication that he was deceased, leaving me with a bit of a nagging doubt as to the identity of this family, but I don't think that is possble? Shoemaker and/or bootmaker seems to have been a common occuption in the Tanners who lived in Picton county.

• Note: Mary J. Tanner; Witnesses Jonathan Tanner and Elizabeth A. Tanner; married by license. Indicates Mary's father was a bootmaker, with no indication that he was deceased, leaving me with a bit of a nagging doubt as to the identity of this family, but I don't think that is possble? • Note: In 1730s Jonathan Jr was the only son of Jonathan Sr Tanner. Lease records indicate that Jr died before his father. He must have been of legal age when he died, so born no later than 1719.
  Wills and abstracts which are part of the W.H. Welply collection, held at the Society of Genealogists in London, abstracted from 'A Guide to Copies and Abstracts of Irish Wills' by Rev Wallace Clare 1930.
  
  Both 1740 and 1776 listed for Jonathan Tanner of Bandon.
