Native of Larpent, Colac, Victoria, Australia. D. 30. Lieutenant Benjamin Meredith is buried in the British First world war cemetery in Beer Sheba in Israel.

Note: 1861 census shows Moses age 26, blacksmith, living in a log house. That census shows 79 Hodgins who were born in Ireland and living in Biddulph township, ages ranged from 80 to 6 years old.
1901 census for birth date; said to have arrived in Canada in 1854. It was not uncommon for the Irish to give St Patrick's day as their birth date if they were uncertain as to the actual date.
