Nicholas Stout

• Death: 1868; Skibbereen District, County Cork

• Note: Death reg'n for Nicholas Stout, Skibbereen district, 1868, age 86, probably the man who lived in "Lick"--presumably the townland of Lichnavar, Creagh parish: Tithes Applotments show Nicholas Stout in "Lick", Creagh parish, in 1832; the Griffiths Valuation (1853) shows Nicholas occupying a house, offices and land in Gortshanecrone, Creagh. Abbeystrowry parish records for burials of two Stout children who were from Lick believed to be this family, and I am tentatively placing them here.
  No documentation that this is the Nicholas who married Elizabeth Morley in 1812, but there are parish records for this Morley family in the Abbeystrowry registers, confirming that they lived in this area from at least 1800 to 1806, when the youngest Morley was baptised.
