Note: William Forbes was in the lumber business--believed to have owned a lumber mill and a gasoline station at one time. The 1910 Census has William (28) and Elva (23) living in Sharon, Pennsylvania (ED 8176 V 132). SSDI has William Forbes, 22 Mar 1882 - Apr 1968, last residence Tampa, Florida.
Obit:
"William T. Forbes, 114 East Emily St, Tampa, Fla., formerly of West Middlesex, died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at his home after a brief illness. He was 86.
Mr. Forbes was born March 22, 1881 in West Middlesex, a son of Thomas and Frances Elizabeth Sweesy Forbes.
He was retired as an inspector for the U.S. Government at Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia.
Mr. Forbes was married to the former Elva Wilson, who died in 1957.
Surviving are a son, Harry, in California; two daughters, Helen, wife of Thomas O'Hara, in San Francisco, and Mrs. Elva Jane Wolfe, Tampa; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Shearer, Vienna, Ohio and 10 grandchildren."
