MAXWELL WILTON
A memorial service for Maxwell Wilton of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Frances Wilton, who passed away at his winter home in Mesa, Arizona on January 30, 1977, will be held in the Chapel of The Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie on Saturday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Wilton was born April 3, 1915, son of Mrs. Laura Wilton and the late Maxwell Wilton. Max was the third generation of Maxwell Wiltons to successfully farm the land his grandfather homesteaded in the High Bluff district, when he came from Ontario in 1872. He was a former member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 32, the Portage and High Bluff Curling Clubs. He was predeceased by a sister Erma in 1926, his father 1936 and a brother Jack in 1940.
