William Lannin

Death: 1868

Note: William was said to be 21 years old and a nephew of James Haggertie when he arrived from Ireland with the James Haggertie family in 1827. For that to be the case, his mother was probably either a Haggertie or a Morley. MLB shows an 1805 marriage between George Lannin and Catherine Hegarty: given the names of William's two eldest children, this seems a likely family. The Tithes Applotments show a George Lannin in Creagh parish in 1832.
A check of the Chambly passenger list does not show a William Lannin, but he could have been the man listed as William "Lemoin"?
In 1861 William, age 60, and Mary Ann, 45, lived in Mornington tp, Perth county, with their two sons, George 24 and Nathaniel 22. The three men are all listed as labourers.
