HORNING_On Monday, December 18, 2006, Olive Ruth Horning (Cooke), late of Regina, passed away at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her husband, George Bertred in 1985; sister, Frances Street (Cooke) and brother-in-law Bill Street; niece, Jean Wiebe (Street); sister-in-law Evelyn Cheston (Horning); and brother-in-law Bob Cheston. Olive is survived by her dear son Richard (Avis) of Regina Beach; Avis's son Derek (Jennifer) Kobylansky; four great-grandchildren; nephew, Ken (Shelley) Street; nephew, Grant (Rila) Cheston; niece, Linda (Doug) Voss; nine great-nieces and nephews; and four greatgreat nieces and nephews. Olive was known for her volunteer work in the community at the Red Cross, the foot clinic and helping the elderly attend church services. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Very Rev. Duncan Wallace officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 2R3, the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert Street, Regina S4R 2P6 or a charity of their choice.

HARLTON Helen Sara Harlton of Athabasca Towers in Moose Jaw passed peacefully with her daughters by her side on October 24, 2009. Helen is predeceased by her husband, George; her parents, Jim and Ada Sutherland; granddaughter, Kendra; son-in-law, Roger; brother, George; sister-in-law, Arlene; as well as several of her husband George's family. Helen will be sadly missed by her daughters, Marilyn (Ron xx) and their family, Merle (and the late Roger xx) and their family; nephews, Carl, and Brad (Pat) and their family; sisters in law Helen, Della, Martha; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday October 28th at 1:30 p.m. in the W.J. Jones and Son Funeral Chapel with Linda Owens officiating. Helen will be laid to rest beside her husband George at Stony Beach Cemetery. In living memory of Helen, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
