Sir John LAMBE and Anne LAMBERT were married.2 He died in 1659.3
The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography appears to be mistaken in identifying a different Sir John Lambe, whose dates are (c.1566?1646) and who was dean of the arches, as the father of Ruth Lambe. It is clear from the Visitations of Cornwall, the IGI, and from property transactions in East Coulston, that Ruth's father was the Sir John Lambe of Coulston, Wiltshire.1
