Henry (Harry) Beasley Lockwood

  • Burial: Tiffany Cemetery, Delaware, Ontario
  • Note: Received land grant by OC 8 Dec 1832. Loyalist Lineages of Canada on p. 382 gives his name as Harry, born 1811, whereas on p. 656 it names both Henry and Harry. The dates for Harry on p. 656 are 1810-1900 (extracted by Emily Bateman Smith). Both names appear to refer to the same person.
    The 1851 census lists Henry as 36 years old, farmer. living Lot 15, Con 1, Caradoc. In 1871 Henry was 60, living in Caradoc, Div. 3, p. 11. His tombstone reads: In memory of Harry Lockwood died Jan. 20, 1900 aged 89 yrs . 10 ms . 6 ds.
