Edward Rogers was the Rector of Lydham in 1710, of More, Shropshire in 1720 and of Forton, Staffordshire in 1727. He is described in the Oxford Alumni register as the son of Edward of Home, Salop, pleb. He entered Balliol College on 17 Nov 1698, aged 17, and received his B.A. in 1702 and his M.A. in 1706. He is assumed to be the same Edward baptised to parents Edward and Margaret on 30 Nov 1680 at Wentnor; both the date and place are consistent with the details in the Oxford register. His will was dated 19 April 1741 and proved on 6 July 1741. It mentions:
- Edward Rogers, cousin ( to whom he bequeaths freehold estate at the Home, and Runnesgate in Hussington parish)

Richard Atkis of Little Ryton was the son of the Richard Atkis who was baptised at Middle on 21 Oct 1565. It is assumed that he is the same Richard Atkis, yeoman of Ryton, whose will was dated 11 Mar 1658 and proved 3 Oct 1659. It mentions:
