  William immigrated from Ireland in 1847 according to the 1901 census. At that time, he was widowed and living with his son Daniel in Mosa tp., Church of England. A search of the Tithe Applotments for Skull parish reveals one Heagarty-Daniel in 1827. As William's eldest known son was named Daniel, there's a good chance this is William's father.
  Ontario death registration for William "Haggarty" #18374: widower, 90, Lot 9, 3rd concession, Mosa; Church of England; cause of death: senility, old age. From Find-A-Grave website (per cemetery transcript):
