Piers GEALE was born about 1821.1 He died on 7 October 1851, at age ~30, in Auckland, New Zealand.1
Piers Geale was a Second-Lieutenant in the 5th Fusiliers. He faced a court-martial in 1842 but received permission to retire from the service by the sale of his commission. An article in The Times of 14 Nov 1842 described him as a brother to the Countess Fortescue [thus confirming he was a son of Piers Geale].2,3,4

In 1881 she was at 68 Brook Street, Westminster, London, England, where she was enumerated with her sisters Elizabeth Fortescue (Dowager Countess aged 76), Marianne Williams (widow aged 67), Frances E. Williams (niece aged 38) and 9 staff.2,1
