Jeremiah WILKINSON was born before 1825.
He is assumed to be the Jeremiah Wilkinson of Ballycarnan listed in 1850 in Griffiths Valuation of Ireland. A Jeremiah Wilkinson, widower of Ballycarna and son of Edward Wilkinson, married Sarah Luttrell, daughter of Richard Luttrell, in Lea Parish Church on 25 August 1855. The witnesses were Richard Luttrell and Thomas Meredith. It is possible that this was the same Jeremiah.
However, it is possible that Jeremiah’s father was called John, rather than Edward, if the naming convention was respected by this family.1
