     John STRONG was born in 1836.¹ He was christened on 6 November 1836 in Rosenallis Parish, Co. Laois, Ireland.¹ He died in 1900; aged 63.²

John Strong was recorded in the Tithe Applotment Book of 1823 at Shanbeg, Co. Laois, Ireland, with a lease of 13.5 acres at a rent charge of £0 13s 6d. It seems likely that John was the father of William Strong, although this is unproven.¹

     Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ BARRER was born on 2 August 1887 in Abbey, Kilfinane, Co. Limerick.¹ She was christened on 20 August 1887 in Kilflyn Church, Co. Limerick.²
     
Elizabeth Barrer was enumerated in the 1901 census in the household of her grandfather George Barrer, as Lizzie Barrer, aged 13. She was enumerated in the 1911 census as a Cook in the household of Maud Villiers-Stuart at Blenahouree, Cappoquin, Waterford. Although not identified as such in the census, this is likely to have been Dromana House, the seat of the Villiers-Stuarts.^3,4

Limerick, Ireland, in which she was described as Eliza Blackwell, head of family, Church of Ireland, able to read & write, aged 50, a farmer, widow, born in Co. Limerick. She was enumerated with her daughter Margaret (aged 24), son John (aged 22), son James (aged 20), daughter Lizzie (aged 18), daughter Catherine (aged 16) and a visitor James Barrer (aged 3). The house was described as 2nd class, having walls of stone, brick or concrete, a roof of slate, iron or tiles, with 5 or 6 rooms, and 4 windows in front. 5 rooms were occupied. It had 9 outbuildings.¹

     Doris ROSENBERG was born on 23 September 1910.¹ She married Robert Eric WINTERS, son of Robert Edward WINTERS and Mary Frances WEIKERT, after 1967.¹ She died on 4 July 1998 at age 87.¹

James McKee was living Balla, Co Mayo, Ireland at the time of his marriage in 1857; he was a Constable. He is not thought to be related to Eliza McKee who married Robert French.¹
