It is assumed that Elizabeth is also a child of Edward and Elizabeth on the basis of the naming convention applied to the children of Samuel Meredith and Elizabeth Wilkinson and the fact that she was from Morett when married. However there is no documentary evidence for this.

     Elizabeth (-) was born before 1779. She married Edward WILKINSON, son of Early Queen’s County WILKINSONS.

     Edward WILKINSON was born before 1805. He was christened on 12 August 1804 in Coolbanagher Church, Co. Laois, Ireland.¹

     Thomas WILKINSON was born before 1808. He was christened on 11 March 1807 in Coolbanagher Church, Co. Laois, Ireland.¹ He married ?- (-). He married Catherine LUTTRELL, daughter of Richard LUTTRELL, on 28 January 1854 in Lea Parish Church; witnesses Richard Luttrell and George Wilkinson.²
     
Thomas Wilkinson was the son of Edward Wilkinson, a farmer. He is assumed to be the same Thomas, son of Edward and Elizabeth of Morett, whose baptism in 1807 appears in the Coolbanagher parish register and was the twin sister of Anne Wilkinson. Thomas was a farmer and a widower living at Coolbanagher at the time of his marriage in 1854.^1,2

     Anne WILKINSON was born before 1808. She was christened on 11 March 1807 in Coolbanagher Church, Co. Laois, Ireland.¹

     Robert FRENCH was born circa 1756; according to 1841 Census, but ca. 1751 according to burial register.^1,2 He married Jane (-). He died in March 1840 in Drumcrow, Killishandra Parish, Co. Cavan, Ireland.¹ He was buried on 15 March 1840 in Killeshandra Parish, Co. Cavan, Ireland.³
     
Robert French was a Weaver. He was recorded in the census of 1841 in the household of William French in Drumcrow, Killishandra Parish, Co. Cavan, Ireland, in which he was described as Robert French, died 1840 of old age aged 84, male, father, a Weaver.¹

     William FRENCH was born circa 1811 in Co. Cavan, Ireland.¹ He married Martha (-) in 1837.¹ He died before 1901.

He was recorded in the census of 1841 at Drumcrow, Killishandra Parish, Co. Cavan, Ireland, and was described as “William French, male aged 30, head of family, married 1837, a Weaver, can read, b. Co. Cavan”. He was enumerated with Martha (wife aged 22), Robert (son, aged 3) and Samuel (son, aged 4 months). There are also entries for Robert (father, died 1840 aged 84) and Richard (died 1840 aged 1 month).

The family of William is listed as an adjacent entry to that of Samuel's family on the 1841 Census. It is assumed that they are brothers and that Robert d. 1840 who is named as the father of William is also the father of Samuel, despite 20 year's apparent age difference. This is supported by baptismal records of Samuel son of Robert and Jane.¹

     Martha (-) was born circa 1819 in Co. Cavan, Ireland.^1,2,3 She married William FRENCH, son of Robert FRENCH and Jane (-), in 1837.¹ She died in 1913.⁴
     
Martha was recorded in the census of 1901 at Drumcrow South, Killeshandra Parish, Co. Cavan, Ireland, and was described as “Martha French, head of family, Church of Ireland, cannot read, aged 86, female, widow, born Co. Cavan, blind”. She was enumerated with David (son, aged 47). The house had mud walls and thatched roof, with 1 window in front, 2 rooms occupied, and 1 outbuilding (a cow house).

She appeared on the census of 1911 at Drumcrow South, Killeshandra Parish in the household of David French in which she was described as “Martha French, mother, Church of Ireland, cannot read, aged 103 [sic] widow, 10 children born and 6 still living, born Co. Cavan, blind.” The names of only 4 of her children are known.^2,3

He emigrated in 1874, and was resident in 1883 in Toronto, Canada.

He appeared on the census of 1901 in Kitley Township, Brockville, Ontario, Canada, in which he was described as Samuel French, head, male aged 59, born 15 March 18425 in Ireland, a Farmer, can read & write. He was enumerated with Ann French (wife) and Anna Ellis (step-daughter).2 He was a Farmer in 1901.

He appeared on the census of June 1911 in Toledo Village, Kitley Township, Leeds District, Ontario, Canada, in which he was described as Samuel French, head, male aged 71, born March 1840 in Ireland, a Farmer, married, immigrated 1874, Canadian national, Methodist, can read & write. He was the sole person enumerated in the household, despite the entry stating that he was married.^3,4,2

     Richard FRENCH was born in 1840 in Co. Cavan, Ireland. He died in 1840; 1 month old. Cause of death: convulsion.¹

It seems likely that he is the William French recorded in Griffiths Valuation of 1856/7 as the lessee (with a John Stewart) of 9-2-26 acres in Drumcrow South, Killeshandra Parish, Co. Cavan. It is Plot 16 on Ord. S. map 24 and the house is 16b. Presumably this is the plot leased by his father Samuel who was described as a farmer.^1,2
